I attended the School from 1960 to 1966 when I moved to Dowdales. This was and from the Comments still is a wonderful Scheel. Mr Balderstone our Head was as dedicated a teacher as I have ever met. I left the Village in 1973 when I joined the RAF and come back occasionally to Visit family. My 4 Sisters all attended the School and their children all went as well. My Mother walked me to School on the first day and left me in the Playground, after that I was on my own, as were all the other Children. I could not have had a better grounding for the rest of my School and adult life and I thank the past Staff and Present Staff for all their hard work. If my Niece Ruby is still in the Village when she is five she will also attend i am sure.

I am very much proud to have visited your school in 2007, being part of you has made a link between a modern school in England and bush school in Samburu land in kenya, This year was great speacial moments in my village had Daniel completed his high school education , great honour from funds raised by your school, i am writting a second reguest for scholarship for a girl who is willing to join high school and have a dream to be the first samburu doctor, i agree that Valuing each child effort and achievements its great presents to give to a child, i hope my request is going to be considered for support, As we begin the new ,i wish God blessing, Thanks and God bless you,
Your friend Thomas

The introduction of Forest school this year has been fantastic. Our children are so privileged to attend Burlington. Education is so much more than OFSTED reports and SATS .Skills for life and a life long love of learning are far more important. The staff at Burlington school treat all our children as individuals . Thank you, keep up the good work!. .

I moved my two boys to Burlington from a school in Ulverston where they were just not thriving.

The change in them was remarkable from day one. Mrs Bath and her staff do a fantastic job of ensuring that all their children are challenged and interested every day.

Fabulous! Thanks.

Our boys had one fabulous year at Burlington. Unfortunately we had to relocate (again). Burlington is a one of a kind primary school; our boys enjoyed school and our eldest seemed to blossom and come out of his shell.
Thank you thank you thank you so much for a wonderfull year. We miss you loads. xxx

I moved my children to Burlington 2 years ago after trying to get help/support for my eldest child for 2 years. I agonised over whether it would be the right decision for 6 months but what a difference this school has made to all my children. I have children in Y6, Y4,Y2 and Reception. My year 6 child is no longer afraid of maths and her teachers and the kindness of all the children have given her back her confidence in herself in a school setting. My other children are thriving and I have a very good relationship with all the staff. I am no longer seen as a pushy mum and I love going into school to help as all parents are welcomed and any skills offered are put to good use. Teachers are professional and approachable and always do their very best for every child. I always feel that the abundant happiness and good manners of all the children within the school is a direct result of the dedicated teaching of all the staff.

Burlington CE School is an excellent school, I have 2 children who attend one in Yr R and one in Yr 4 both are happy, confident and thriving in the varied, stimulating and caring educational environment.
The staff are committed and professional, approachable and friendly to both children and parents. The governing body puts children first and there is a thriving PTA who work tirelessly to provide that little bit extra for the children in this small rural primary school. And there is wrap around child care from 8am - 5.30pm!
